Brickell is recognized as the commercial district of Miami with condominium complexes inter spaced with well over sixty commercial banks. This is why so many people who work in the downtown area choose to live in Brickell to avoid having to commute to work every morning and evening. Brickell and the downtown Miami area in general also has downtown nightlife in the form of restaurants and nightclubs as a reason for moving to the area.
Exploring new Areas for Condo Development
One effect that the boom in condo development has had on Brickell and the downtown area is that developers are now beginning to run out of room. This in turn has led developers and land speculators to look to other areas of Miami that they would never have considered just ten years ago. Areas such as Liberty City Little Haiti and even Overtown are now being considered for condo developments that will be coming online in the near future.
